Welcome! We are Lyle and Kathy Hendricks, and we are thrilled to welcome you to our private retreats. Our journey into hospitality is rooted in a shared love for exploration, the great outdoors, and bringing people together.
We actually met through our passion for aviation at the Sun 'n Fun Airshow in Florida, eventually got married in Alaska, and lived in California before deciding to plant roots in Orofino, Idaho back in 2003.
For us, hosting isn’t just a business—it’s a way to help travelers disconnect from the daily grind and experience the breathtaking natural beauty that we are lucky enough to call home.

The History and Why We Love These Places
Clearwater Cabin ...
Perched in the quiet pines, we purchased this property together with our house in 2003. The Cabin was just a shell of what it is now. We spent our spare time remodeling the Cabin and started renting in January of 2011. We have always managed this Cabin ourselves since we're on the neighboring property of 20 acres.
We love this peaceful property in this charming unhurried little town of Orofino that we now call home. We love to walk our pups down our mile-long private Cabin road. We love to watch the wildlife and sunsets. We love to have bonfires after a rewarding day of working on and cleaning up the property. This is a one in a million property!
Glacier Hideaway ...
Tucked away in a tranquil pine forest, we acquired this property in loving memory of Kathy's brother—who moved to the area in the 1980s—completing his vision has been extremely rewarding. We acquired the property in 2014, completed extensive renovations and started renting in 2017. Property managers failed to meet our standards and we took over in 2019 with the help of some gifted local team members.
We love northwest Montana and all that is has to offer. We love feeling small among the massive mountains of Glacier. We love to walk our pups up the trail we've made on the property. We love to pick huckleberries and we love to bonfire! This property is truly special!

This is a comfortable cabin in a wonderfully secluded location. It sits on a hillside amongst the pines, and guests are greeted every morning by birds singing, turkeys calling, and deer grazing. Kathy and Lyle are exceptional hosts. Whenever I had a question Kathy responded immediately, and she made me feel very welcome. We arrived on a hot day, and the air conditioning was on, and the cabin was comfortable. It was exceptionally clean and well equipped. The bed in the main bedroom upstairs was very comfortable. While my husband fished during the day I enjoyed walking with my dog, sitting on the deck, and reading. We had no trouble streaming a movie in the evening. Guests should know that the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. The stairway is a bit steep, but it is equipped with excellent railing, and the hosts thoughtfully made sure there are nightlights throughout! Other guests have commented on the road to the property. Take your time, and you will have no trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and have already scheduled another one in a few weeks!

A beautiful property in quite possibly the most beautiful part of the Lower 48. Glacier NP is, of course, gorgeous, but if you have extra time during your stay, driving up the North Fork Road has some amazing views, and is far less crowded than the park. Though Polebridge was pretty hoppin’! Will definitely be coming back to explore some of the trails we drove by.

The wifi is good, which is necessary for doing research about where to go, restaurants, etc. The kitchen was well stocked and there is a grill so we were able to cook out. The house had everything you would need for your stay. The location is good and it is a relatively short drive to the west entrance to Glacier. Communication with the host was excellent. Cabin was cozy. It would have been helpful to know that you have a steep staircase because some people may not be able to naviagte-elderly, height-averse. We had a bit of trouble with the winding road to your turnoff as well. But once we arrived, it was a beautiful retreat.

Quiet cabin in the woods
This was our third time staying and once again enjoyed our stay. The cabin is the perfect place to come back to after long days out fishing. Kitchen is well stocked and with the grill out back you can easily make a grilled steak with mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli and corn on the cob. In the evening he wood fire place makes for a cozy movie night.
