Hunting Pictures
HUNTING

The cabin is located in Idaho's Game Unit 10A. Hunting opportunities in this Game Unit include Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Turkey, Elk, Black Bear, Mountain Lion, Coyote, Wolf as well as pheasant, grouse and more. There are hundreds of acres of public and private hunting lands available within a half hour drive of the cabin. Potlatch Corporation owns several hundreds of acres of premiere hunting grounds close by and sells permits to hunt their land on the website.

Idaho's Department of Fish and Game has a great website with tons of information as well as a great Hunt Planner.

FISHING

Fishing opportunities abound. You will find world class steelhead fishing as well as chinook salmon fishing opportunities in the Clearwater River. You will find kokanee salmon, rainbow and cutthroat trout, and smallmouth bass at Dworshak Reservoir. Both of these fishing areas are a short driving distance from the cabin. Floating the Clearwater River is popular in the summer when water levels are safe.

FOUR WHEELING

Four wheeling is a popular pastime whether you want to mushroom hunt, berry pick, take photos or just explore. The State of Idaho has a website with trails and links. Idaho Parks & Recreation has a website with Idaho OHV rules. Potlatch Corporation also has many ATV trails which require use permits. Check their website for maps and rules.

DWORSHAK

Dworshak Dam and Reservoir are under the control of the Army Corps of Engineers. There is a Visitor Center at the top of the Dam that is definitely worth the trip. The Visitor Center has information and displays on the building of the dam, has tours inside the Dam, area maps as well as a wealth of information about the history of the area.

Hunting, Fishing, Boating and Hiking are popular activities at Dworshak. A great website by the Dworshak Reservoir Association provides a wealth of information and links on all the recreational opportunities at Dworshak
